The room had a stunning view, right over the river. The hotel is in a lovely old building in the most central part of Besançon, with several tram lines running below. The staff were friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome. It's a wonderful old-fashioned hotel, and we're planning to return.

The room was small but clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We traveled by train both ways, so I can't say anything about parking. Five stars for the location.

It seems to be a privately owned, family-run hotel with no more than 12 rooms, spread across four floors. I agree with the many positive comments on Tripadvisor and Booking.com. We stayed for three days in October 2021, moving from a small room to a larger one. The place looked recently renovated, was very well maintained and clean, and the service from the administration was perfect. It's a good choice for two or three nights while exploring Besancon and the surrounding area, and we didn't regret staying there.

There are lots of places to walk to from this spot in the heart of Besancon. There's no parking on site, but there is a nearby lot. It felt secure, since you need your room key to get in. The receptionist, who I assumed was the owner, let us choose between a room facing the river or the square, and we picked the square. We didn't realize it would get louder around 1am as more people headed to the restaurant/bar on the square. We had the window open because the AC wasn't working, but had to close it because of the outside noise.

The staff were helpful and friendly the whole time I was there. My room was comfortable, with a modern feel and a careful renovation. The location, right in the centre, was perfect.
