Hôtel Gergovia

There’s a lot of potential in this vintage hotel. The location is good, and the 70s feel of the interiors and food selection could be charming. The staff were pretty friendly too. But there seemed to be fungi in both my room and the food. That might explain the two days of stomach problems I had after eating here. The bathroom was tiny, damp, and full of fungi. If the food and decor were brought up to date, it might be worth the price. As it is, the place feels overpriced and dated.

The staff were some of the friendliest and most helpful we’ve encountered. They really did their best to find a way to help with whatever we needed. We also liked the restaurant’s panoramic view and local food and drinks, along with the bar and games room. There’s a fully equipped wellness center with steam room, sauna, and fitness center. Our family room was convenient and nice for up to six people, with a shared bathroom. The hotel has an old Auvergnat style, and the bedroom and bathroom were a little dated, but that didn’t bother us. Thanks for everything.

The rooms were clean and fine, but there was no WiFi once I was five metres from reception. The TV in my room was stuck in demo mode, and I wish the rooms had air conditioning.

The rooms were clean and nice, and breakfast had a good range of options. There’s a modern restaurant and plenty of parking.
