What stayed with me most was how much care went into the small choices at The Bastide Avellene: the selected shampoos, conditioners, and toothpaste tablets, the biological clean wines, the way the food was presented, and the daily excursions being so well organized. The meals were amazing, and I really appreciated having real clean food. We also loved the yoga platform looking out over the vineyards and the quiet, historic feel of the property. Walking or biking among the vineyards each day was a highlight. The beds were comfortable, the rooms and pool clean, and the staff friendly, as you'd expect on a holiday. But Linn went far beyond that, creating a five-star family feel. Matt is a very talented chef, and the rest of the team made the trip unforgettable. We came home rested, well-fed, and pampered, with new friendships and closer existing relationships. It made me think about putting more care into the details so other people feel as loved and valued as we did. We're already planning to come back.

It's easy to reach by car, and they can arrange travel if you're getting there another way. Right in the middle of Provence, this boutique hotel has a pool, tennis court, ping-pong, and pétanque. The owners and staff were caring throughout our stay, and the place had a positive feel all around. The best boutique hotel I've stayed in.

When it's cooler, I love settling onto the old leather sofas beside the huge fireplace with a glass of wine. In summer, life moves outside: a swim, some tennis, or a glass of pastis over pétanque, with walks through the vineyards and Mediterranean maquis too. The pergola and hammock under the centuries-old oaks catch a gentle breeze. Thick stone walls and air conditioning help keep the summer heat out, so Bastide Avellanne is a lovely place to stay in any season.

I went this past Easter and loved it. The place is amazing, the food delicious and healthy, and the people are awesome. If you're still thinking about going, just book it.

The rooms are comfortable, cozy, and very well equipped, with excellent bedding and bathrooms. The hosts are charming, and the setting is surrounded by lush nature, with a lovely silence and plenty of activities. I'd wholeheartedly recommend La Bastide to anyone who values both physical and spiritual comfort.
