We had a fantastic week at the Happy owl. The beds were comfortable, and the house was spacious, peaceful, and well set up for a baby. Our family wanted fresh air, good food, and a chance to unwind, and this place suited us perfectly. It sits in a beautiful garden, where we even got to say Bonjour to the neighbour's sheep in the mornings. A wonderful family home.

The garden is enormous and beautifully cared for, and the children loved the pool area with its toys and swimming aids. We all enjoyed a wonderful week in such peaceful, luxurious surroundings. The accommodation was clean, spacious, and finished to a great standard. We hope to return one day.

We spent several wonderfully lazy afternoons by the pool, with nothing but calm around us. Ewen’s garden is spectacular, and you can see how much care he puts into it. The house is cozy, well kept, and full of thoughtful details, with a kitchen that has everything you need if you enjoy cooking. Ewen himself is incredibly kind and generous. We’ll be back!

The kids had an amazing time with the pool and all the games, and Ewen was always available with help and advice. The house has everything you could need. It’s set in a beautiful garden in a very quiet area, but still close to regional attractions, canoeing on the Dordogne, and lovely villages. We had a wonderful holiday and would love to come back.

We’ve just got home after two relaxing weeks at le Hibou Heureux. The peaceful, idyllic surroundings made for a lovely stay, and Ewan was a welcoming host. We had everything we needed, including a charger for our all-important EV 😁 and wonderful walks for our dog. We’d definitely come back. Thank you, Ewan.
