La Longère des Gillettes

The crickets kept up their nighttime serenade, which was rather lovely. And breakfast beneath the pergola will stay with us: the croissants were wonderfully buttery, like the ones from years ago, but still light and airy. For anyone who loves an authentic, poetic sort of experience, the hostess is attentive and generous. Thank you, Madam.

We were so keen to get away that we left very early and skipped breakfast. The summer kitchen was appalling, like a rubbish dump, and the rooms were old and dusty, with an enormous mess in the drawers. I can't understand how anyone could rent out rooms in such a filthy place, or how Booking.com and Gîtes de France allow it. Avoid this place at all costs. Help!!

The double curtains were filthy, ripped, and worn out, and breakfast was especially unhygienic. There were cobwebs everywhere and spiders to kill as soon as we entered the room. The garden was cluttered and poorly maintained, and the hostess was dirty. The room itself was outdated and full of worn-out things, despite the attractive photos on the booking site. On arrival, it was a completely different story, and the ratings do not reflect the place at all. VERY DISAPPOINTED. The welcome was poor.

Breakfast was just perfect and a real pleasure, and the room was comfortable, with a nice bed. Our host welcomed us so warmly, and I had a very pleasant stay. I think I’ll come back for a relaxing holiday.
