Des Poetes

There are lots of stairs, but the owners offered to carry our luggage, so it wasn't a problem. We had a calm room and good beds, and the hotel is a charming little place near the park and city center. From the moment we got in touch, we felt welcomed and cared for. Breakfast was lovely, with the light and colours of the dining room, warm jazz playing softly on a vinyl player, and delicious homemade vanilla yogurt. Very charming and very French!

There were five of us on a cycling trip, and we could keep our bikes in covered, secure storage in a garage a block from the hotel. When we ran into trouble unrelated to our stay, the owners went out of their way to help. They were terrific. The rooms were clean and well kept, the location was handy for restaurants, and breakfast was a nice way to start the day. We all agreed Poetes is highly recommendable for a basic place to stay.

Everything is within walking distance, and the price is excellent for the location. The rooms are very basic, but incredibly clean, and the great staff make that a minor issue. Breakfast was excellent and unhurried. Well done.

We arrived in Baezier on 20th Sept without suitable accommodation, and I was lucky to reach Hotel des Poetes and speak to Cami. She gave us directions, suggested good places to eat and interesting places to visit, helped with our luggage, and made us feel welcome. All the staff were just as friendly during our two-night stay. The location was ideal for exploring this lovely city. We slept well in a very comfortable bed, and breakfast was fresh with great coffee. Thank you, Hotel des Poetes, and best wishes to Cami and Tarana, good luck with the album.
