There's no Wi-Fi, the bathroom was dirty, and there was no soap. The toilet seat was broken. There wasn't a proper setup for preparing food, just one broken water tap. It was thoroughly unpleasant. The staff on site were pleasant, but the place felt third-world. I've had better hotel rooms in Turkey in the 1980s. Charging 50 Euros a night for something this low quality is outrageous.

The staff were wonderful, and the location was wonderful too. We didn't eat breakfast there, but we saw it and it looked amazing. The room was generally clean, and they're refurbishing other rooms, but ours badly needed work. We had a large room, 104, with an awkward layout and an unnecessary sink, tap, and cupboard in the middle. The windows and shutters wouldn't open. The old mattress dipped in the middle, so my husband and I rolled toward it. The large ensuite was poorly arranged too, with a tiny shower whose doors wouldn't close properly, a very low toilet and sink, and tile grout that needed redoing.

Finding a notice on the door saying the authorities had shut the hotel down is good news in one sense, but unforgivable in another.

There was no heating in the middle of winter, so this isn't suitable for children. Be careful with breakfast: some items were rotten. The coffee and croissants were okay.
