Hôtel Kyriad Paris Bezons - La Défense

The staff were kind, and the hotel was clean, so I was happy with my stay 😊 Getting in and out of the bathtub takes care, since its sides are quite high. I also missed having a mini fridge in the room. It's especially useful for keeping drinking water cold. The hotel is in transport zone 4, quite a way from the city center, so return trips cost about €5 each way. A weekly travel card covers all Paris zones and transport modes, though.

For a three star place, this feels like a fair rating, maybe 3.9. I’d come back. Parking is free and gated, the price is affordable, and the location is good. The staff were helpful and pleasant, and the small rooms were clean enough and worked fine. At night, though, the entrance area can feel unsettling, with groups of people hanging around out front. The hallway lights come on with motion detection, but could use some dim lighting too. The shower tub is very high and leaks while you're using it, although the shower itself is still enjoyable. A few improvements would make the stay better.

I won’t book here again. I reserved four rooms for my four guests, but when they arrived before midnight, the night receptionist insisted the booking was for only three. My guests showed that each of their names was on the confirmed booking, but he still said they'd have to pay extra for a fourth room. When one guest asked about a larger room, he was told nothing else was available. In the end, two men had to share one room and one bed, which made them extremely uncomfortable. I emailed to request a refund for the room they weren't given. The reply claimed all four rooms had been provided, which wasn't true. My guests can confirm what happened. I've seen another review describe a similar issue, with the hotel denying the problem and trying to get more money. It makes me wonder if this is how they operate. I'm shocked. I've never encountered a hotel in England that did this or tried to avoid refunding a room it hadn't supplied.

Being near La Défense makes this a useful base for business trips, even though it's some distance from central Paris. The hotel keeps things simple, with practical rooms, free Wi-Fi and parking on site. Staff are friendly, and breakfast is decent. The decor does feel a little dated, but the price and useful basics make it a reasonable option for travelers watching their budget.
