The rooftop and pool were great, the gym was fine, and most of the staff were lovely. Our room was also quite lovely, with a great water and city view. But the air in the room made our stay miserable. There were chemical fumes, my eyes watered, and I had trouble breathing. Almost all the windows wouldn't open, and ventilation was poor. Staff widened the one window that worked and agreed there was a strange smell, but said they couldn't do anything and guessed it might be cleaning product. I suspect fumes from new furniture or recent construction that hadn't been aired out properly, though I don't know for sure. My six-year-old daughter coughed and sneezed throughout the stay, and by the second night I could hear her wheezing. When I asked to move rooms, reception said they all smelled the same, so there was no point. We extended our time in Biarritz by several days, but moved hotels because I felt ill sleeping in that room. I asked more than once for help and felt the front desk avoided dealing with it. This was probably the worst hotel night I've had.

We had seven rooms for a family birthday, and everyone was really happy with their stay. The staff were polite, accommodating and very friendly. The location was perfect too. I'd happily recommend the hotel and come back next time I'm in Biarritz.

The rooms are spacious, comfortable, quiet and very clean. The restaurant and rooftop are nice too. The team is made up of people who'll help with any problem during your stay. At least in the off season, the comfort you get for the price is a big win for guests.

The location is perfect, and the room is large and comfortable for two. Service was nearly at the right level for a four-star hotel, but a few small things were irritating: slippers weren't in the room on day one, so we had to call; the vanity set wasn't replenished on day two; and on day three the tissue box was left empty, then removed after cleaning. We chose the hotel partly for the gym and spa, but they weren't ready during our stay because of a delay compared with what the booking app had announced. Those issues kept it from being five stars for us.
