Palmito Food Market has a welcoming feel, with nice music and a great vibe. It's a lively food court with all kinds of options, from Tex-Mex and tapas to sushi, burgers, and Creole food. I went for the tapas and was especially impressed by the ham croquettes. They tasted fresh and homemade, were cooked just right, and made me feel like I was in Spain. The staff were really friendly and accommodating, even though my French isn't very strong. We also had a hurricane and a mojito, both well made. I'd definitely recommend stopping by if you're in the area.

I went back several times while I was in Biarritz. The place has a really cool atmosphere and great decor, and the staff were lovely, quick, and friendly. There's plenty of food to choose from, and everything I tried was yummy. The only letdown was the açaí bowl: it felt pretty expensive for such a small serving, with hardly any açaí and a lot more fruit.

Looking for the actual food market? Halles de Biarritz is a five-minute walk away. This place calls itself a food market, but it's really a restaurant. The staff are friendly and the tiki-style interior is fun, and I can imagine it being a good spot to bring kids. There's a huge menu full of crowd-pleasing choices. The food was okay, neither great nor too bad.

It's a fun concept: grab a seat, then use your phone or the machine to order from whichever restaurants and bar are inside. We got food from the Mexican place and dessert from another one. The food was really nice and came quickly, and the bar menu is wild, with some of the most creative and original cocktails I've seen. Great vibes for spending time with friends. I'd come early, since it can fill up fast.

Such a great discovery on our vacation. We came back more than once, and loved the decoration. It's so easy to sit at your table and order on your phone from several different restaurants. Great concept!
