The setting is the big draw here. You can have breakfast and dinner right by the water with your feet in the sand, and the sunrise and sunset views are lovely. The small hotel feels charming and tucked away. The menu has a nice variety, including vegetarian choices.

The seaside view is wonderful, and the food was good, though a bit pricey. We also had comfortable sunbeds and a quiet, private-feeling atmosphere. Service was very good. The manager was polite and personally showed us the breakfast and rooms, so we felt looked after and welcome.

We picked this hotel for the pool and direct beach access, and it also has its own beach area with umbrellas and chairs. Guests can use two paddle boards. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade and locally made jams and cheese, plus eggs, salmon, pastries, yogurt and more. The restaurant serves lunch and dinner for an extra cost. When we didn’t feel like eating there, pizzerias and a grocery store were an easy drive down the street. The staff were very friendly.

It’s a peaceful spot in beautiful surroundings, right on the beach, and the restaurant was excellent. The nearby freshwater pond does bring in a lot of mosquitoes, though. Bring insect repellent, ideally something strong.

The beach wasn’t especially clean, which was a letdown. Still, the hotel and service deserve five stars: the room was superb and large, with direct beach access, and the staff were lovely. Breakfast was the best I had in Corsica, especially the delicious home-smoked salmon.
