La Renardiere

There’s no real parking, and it wasn’t possible to park on the road. The photos bore no resemblance to what we found: the cottage was very dirty, and the bedding was so bad we had to buy boards in the hope of getting some sleep. The kitchen is in the hallway and too cramped for two people to use at once. The sink leaked, so we had to put a seal on it. The fridge is outdated, and the kitchen utensils and dishes are old and sparse, with only one salad bowl and the coating worn off the pots and pans. The bathroom was dirty, and the toilet seal wasn’t maintained, so it leaked constantly. The pool wasn’t clean, and the jacuzzi was a real breeding ground. A complete scam. Avoid it.

The kitchen barely has any utensils and is squeezed into a hallway. There’s no bedroom, just a sofa bed, and the bathroom is tiny. The living room is shabby, there’s nowhere to park, and the pool looks a bit dated. I’d avoid it.

The place needs a major renovation. The windows and shutters need fixing, the kitchen feels old and doesn’t even have knobs on the cupboards, and the spa and pool are dated. Cleaning was below par, nearly borderline. The holiday itself was great, but the photos don’t show how things look now.

A lovely spot to unwind and recharge, with a pretty setting and pool. The owners gave us a really warm welcome.
