The lakeside spot for our mobile home, L021, was almost right on the lake beach, and it was perfect for our family of four. There are five pools to choose from, some adults-only in the afternoon, and the entertainment was the best I’ve experienced at a site. It’s an amazing place for kids, with lots to do and plenty of places to visit nearby. The beaches are great, too. Our older-style mobile home was dated and pretty filthy, though. A few bits were broken, including the toilet roll holder and window openings, and the curtains didn’t fit very well. After we cleaned and disinfected it, it was up to our standard, and those smaller faults didn’t really bother us. The dirt could really put someone off. Even with the mobile home a little rough around the edges, I’d highly recommend the place.

The lodge we stayed in was an ultimate, with a roomy living area, comfortable beds, and air conditioning. The whole site felt modern, clean, and well looked after, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The kids had a huge time at the pools and slides, and we loved the private beach. We’d definitely recommend it.

The resort was lively and loud, which suited me, and it felt clean. Our accommodation was nice, the restaurants were good and reasonably priced, and the staff were friendly. It was a great base for visiting local attractions. The kids' clubs felt very French and weren’t especially appealing to non-French kids. Teenagers took over the sports pitches, leaving younger children unable to play; when they did, it looked quite dangerous. The site seemed to ignore the issue. I’m sure it’ll change if an older kid seriously hurts a child.

The caravan was clean and had everything we needed. The park is beautifully maintained and thoughtfully laid out, and the water park was fabulous, with heated pools and lots of slides for the kids. It’s open from 10 to 7, and everything was kept very clean with lifeguards always nearby. We absolutely loved Biscarrosse and will definitely return.

The pool, lake, and épicerie were the good parts. Neither my daughter nor I had any mobile phone service with our French plans, and friends from the Netherlands tried two different providers with the same result, so you have to pay for the WiFi. At the front desk, the girl either couldn't speak English or made no effort to, which was disappointing given all the German, Dutch, and British visitors. Thank goodness I can get by in French. The gym costs extra, which feels like nickel-and-diming at a place calling itself five-star. Nobody came to quiet the rowdy neighbors after midnight, and they kept going until they chose to go to bed. Also, the person who called me about adding people to my reservation said I could book one of the other available properties for an extra charge when I arrived. That wasn't true.
