Le Petit Bonheur Biscarrosse

We left at dawn after a restless night. The room was stiflingly hot and smelled bad, with an old bed buried under dusty, faded cushions and no pillows. There was just a poor fan to cool things down, and the furniture was outdated. The toilet and bathroom were shared with all the rooms. Pornographic photos and paintings covered the walls. The place felt like a 1970s house left "as is." The owner, with her African accent, told us to enjoy happy moments. What happiness? What a shame. We have doubts about calling this a "Bed and Breakfast." Run away, a horror!

The woman at reception was very, very friendly, and everything was clean. Still, the value for money doesn't add up. Paying 40 euros, sometimes more, for a room with a shared bathroom and toilet is simply too much, so I took off one star. One star really feels too few.

The biggest problem was the noise: people showered between midnight and after 1 a.m., and since my room was next to the bathroom, I was woken every day. The toilet and bathroom were shared with other guests. Breakfast wasn't included, and the small bunk-bed room had only the bare minimum, no chairs, table, TV, or air conditioning, plus dusty shelves. For what was provided, the price was too high.

The coffee maker still had moldy coffee in it, the sofa was stained, and the beds weren't comfortable. The apartment was dirty, too. At the last minute she asked for an extra 10 euros for the third person, even though I had booked for three and told her from the start. I wouldn't go back.
