Contact Hôtels Le Savigny & Spa

The property has a nice setting, but I can’t recommend staying here. The food was nothing special, and the bigger problem was that none of us got much sleep. The aircon made loud noises every 8-20 minutes overnight, even when switched off. We tried to get help when we noticed, but reception wasn’t staffed by then. The next morning, reception confirmed this was a known issue and offered not to charge us for “the water and one bottle of wine” we’d had the night before. That was the compensation for a sleepless night for three people. Poor service. I expected a lot more.

I love old-style French buildings, and even though this one is close to the street, we couldn’t hear traffic. The rooms were clean, and the staff were very accommodating. There’s a small swimming pool and a spa. There was only one menu option, though, and no food was served on Saturday evening 🙁. ?

We stayed two nights with breakfast and had dinner there one evening. Dinner was average. At the buffet breakfast, I went to get tea after I’d finished eating and was charged for it. That’s quite a thing to do.

The room was fabulous, warm and comfortable, with lots of style, and the vineyards were lovely. It made for a lovely stopover, though after driving from London, we were disappointed to have to drive again to find dinner.
