The people here were so kind and welcoming. When we misplaced a car key, they quietly went out of their way to help us. The meals were just as memorable, with imaginative, delicate dishes, interesting teas, and a delicious breakfast. It’s a wonderfully peaceful place to stay, and I’d happily recommend it.

We made the drive and were glad we did. The “La Petite Table Menu” was tasty from start to finish, and for one of the least expensive menus we’ve tried so far, it felt well worth it. Service was friendly too. Drinks were on the pricey side, though I suppose that comes with a one-star restaurant. We’d definitely recommend the place.

We had a lovely time. The staff were extremely nice, and the food was divine. The room was “dans son jus,” just as we expected 😀.

The food was quite good, though I wouldn’t have guessed it was Michelin one-star cooking. The room was the real disappointment: old decorative electrical appliances and an antiquated bathtub right in the middle, facing the parking lot. The lady of the house said she had designed it artistically, but it was a harsh experience. We’d been looking forward to the restaurant and hotel. We spent 10 great days in Normandy, staying at 9 different hotels and restaurants, and all were great except Le Mascaret. Sorry.

The food was amazing, especially for the price: 26 euros for three courses or 45 euros for the fancier menu. They also have a good wine selection. Service was great, and they arranged a delicious alternative starter to meet my wife’s dietary requirements. We had a quiet, private table in the garden on a sunny day. We’ll be back.
