Brit Hotel Blois - Le Préma

We arrived at 11:30pm without a reservation, and the place seemed sketchy. The lobby smelled funny and there were shady characters around. A single family room for one night cost €130, so we left without staying. The high star rating was what made us try it, but we don’t think it deserves that. We stayed nearby instead, for much less money at a much nicer place.

The rooms were clean, but cramped, plain and basic, and breakfast was okay. This feels more like a motel than a hotel. It’s a long way from central Blois, and the tiny map we were given made it hard to find. They did warn us that walking into town wasn’t advisable. The place sits on an industrial estate, and the car park apparently needs electric gates at night.

For what the room costs, the location isn’t great, though that’s understandable. The staff were helpful, the WiFi was strong, and the room and bathroom were clean and a decent size. It’s a quiet, basic hotel with air conditioning and an acceptable restaurant, so it has what you need for a short stay. Recommended.

A little old, but the room has everything you need, and there’s free parking. It’s near the shopping center, too. For the special offer price, it’s really good enough. The reception is open 24 hours!
