I found the beautiful Domaine de Chantemerles online while looking for somewhere in nature where I could be alone with my grief after losing someone very dear to me. I booked a studio and have now been here for seven weeks, with another five weeks planned. Everything in the studio is clean and good quality. It has a kitchenette with a dishwasher, fridge, and microwave, plus a bathroom with a bathtub. The estate is atmospheric and beautifully kept, right beside the Seine. There are long walks to take in the Forêt de Fontainebleau, and a supermarket is within walking distance. The host gave me a very friendly welcome and a thorough guide to things to do nearby. He's also always available if I have questions or run into a problem, though I haven't had any problems. Highly recommended in every way!

Our booking from December 25th to 27th, over Christmas, was cancelled today, just five days before the stay. I never received a confirmation email, and there was no way to get in touch with the manager. A family with two young children was left without accommodation. His reply was, “You'll find something...!” I do not recommend this place.

We stayed one night while on a cycling trip, and it was perfect. The studio was equipped well and sat in the middle of a large, wooded, very quiet park. The owner was very accommodating.

The studio has the option to prepare meals, and the train into Paris is very accessible. It’s in an exceptional location on a property right next to the stage. Perfect.
