Le Clos de Bénédicte

The host was so friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was lovely. The place was comfortable and peaceful, with a big garden and its own pool. We spent a couple of nights here and would recommend it to anyone.

Our studio had a simple setup, but it was perfectly fine, and the unusual layout actually suited us. Breakfast and dinner at the restaurant were outstanding, with herbs from the garden. We loved the building and its surroundings and had a great stay. We’ll come back one day!

The grounds are so peaceful and green, and the rooms have fantastic views. It feels like a quiet little cloister just outside Bondues, only a few minutes from Lille. My daughter and I stayed with Benedicte and her Husband in late May, and the pool was spotless. The garden is the sort of place where you could write a novel. Breakfast was one of the highlights. Every morning they asked what time we wanted it, then had it ready when we came out. There were fresh raspberry preserves, bread, cheese, yogurt, and egg. The linens were fresh, too. I can’t recommend staying here highly enough. We’ll be back, and I hope you give them a try.

Bénédicte and her husband were lovely and attentive to what we needed. Staying so close to Lille gave us time for a romantic dinner at Le Cerisier restaurant, a walk around Lille’s streets, and a visit to its museum. We also spent an evening at Le JaJa wine bar. Coming back to this green, restful place made for a really rejuvenating weekend.
