La Longère

Easy to get to and well located. The people were friendly.

The meal was salmon with semolina and chocolate fondant. We were surprised when the woman offered us wine, then found out the next morning it was €5 a glass, which hadn't been mentioned beforehand. I also paid for a €139 one-night package with dinner and breakfast, then agreed to an extra €40 for a superior room after a call from someone there. The room looked nicely decorated and was clean, but it was freezing. We were told the thermostat was in one room and would switch on at 20 degrees Celsius, yet there was no heating in the bathroom, and the radiators were cold as the temperature fell overnight. We stayed cold until morning. Other guests at breakfast said they'd been very cold too. The indifference about the lack of heat left a bad impression. I won't be coming back anytime soon. If you visit La Longère in winter, bring your own heater.

The homemade breakfast was delicious, and the house and grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. The rooms were equipped and tastefully decorated, though we would have liked a bit more space. The owner was kind and shared what she knew about the region. We had a wonderful, relaxing stay, far from the hustle and bustle of Paris, and enjoyed some quality time.

The breakfast was generous and very well prepared. The manager was attentive and friendly, and the place itself is beautiful. Congratulations, keep it up!
