As a libertarian, I liked this little place in historic Bordeaux. It's on what may be the narrowest street in the galaxy, which seems to bring people together.

It's a real pleasure to find a place like the Librairie du Muguet, with such a carefully chosen range of books and magazines. Cultural spaces this committed feel rare now. The people working there are pleasant and interesting, and that's what matters most, even if I wish it were open more often. There's a certain charm to community-run places being a little hard to catch. Thanks to spaces like this for still being around and reminding us that the left and autonomy have a bright future.

I came across a book I hadn't been looking for, though of course you can find what you came for too. They also had the brand new comic about Machno, very topical, you could say.

For 60 years, this has been Bordeaux's libertarian hub, with a bookstore plus all sorts of activities: film screenings and discussions, musical happy hours, benefit concerts, and more.
