Hôtel Singulier Bordeaux

During my three-day trip to Bordeaux, Hôtel Singulier made my special occasion feel even more memorable. The team were warm and attentive, and I felt genuinely celebrated and valued. Their thoughtfulness left me with lovely memories, and I can't wait to return. The hotel itself is stylish, intimate and beautifully maintained. My room felt both luxurious and cozy, with details that made it easy to relax. It's well placed for exploring, with lots of attractions a short walk away. I can't recommend Hôtel Singulier enough if you're after a luxurious, heartfelt stay.

The good parts were the friendly staff, good location, soft bedding and a very comfortable bed. But after paying €400 for two nights, we left underwhelmed and wouldn't return. We were asked to cancel our Booking.com reservation and book directly with the hotel, which was inconvenient and took time. The radiator in our room wasn't working. We asked for it to be fixed, but nothing happened and no one updated us, leaving our towels damp after use. For a four-star spa hotel at this price, we expected small extras such as body cream or a vanity kit, but neither was provided. The stay didn't feel worth the cost. Other boutique hotels we've used at similar prices offered much better service and thoughtful extras.

Audrey at reception was so welcoming and lovely. She even called the night before to offer us an airport pickup, and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms are fairly small, but fine for a few nights. We loved this quirky, beautiful boutique hotel in the city centre and will definitely return. If the weather's nice, breakfast is a must on the rooftop terrace. The breads and cakes were beautiful, and the omelette was a lovely finish.

I made an honest mistake last week and booked a room for that same day, when I meant to book for later in the year. I called straight away to explain. I understand that a refund might not have been possible, and I wasn't expecting them to do anything, since it was my error. Still, I was told there was nothing they could do because I was within the 24-hour cancellation period. It would've been good customer service to offer to move the booking to the date in September I intended. I saw a couple of rooms available when I booked, and someone else could have taken one for that same day.
