Koko & Baobab

The hostess was so warm and friendly, and she speaks German too. She was glad to share tips with us. The place is spotlessly clean and looked after, with parking right in the building. It’s tastefully decorated, has its own special feel, and was very reasonably priced. We’re already looking forward to coming back when we’re in Bordeaux.

Marina makes you feel like royalty when she welcomes you. The room was peaceful and right in the heart of Bordeaux. I could happily stay forever. Thanks so much for such a lovely visit.

We’d go back to Koko & Baobab anytime, and a big thank you to Marina for such a wonderful place. If we could, we’d give it 10 stars. The bed was a bit small for us, two older, chubby people, but that’s really nitpicking at this level. The apartment felt like moving into a friend’s home. It was beautiful, furnished with care and high quality, and the price was unbeatable. The booking site description doesn’t do it justice. There’s a living room, bedroom, coffee nook and bathroom, plus an atrium with a sofa, dining table and lots of decorations. We also spotted an exercise bike, which we wisely ignored. The bathroom is bigger than many hotel rooms, and even larger than most B&Bs in Paris. Every corner had some thoughtful detail or surprise. The place also has a coffee machine, microwave, enormous TV, washing machine, fridge, Dyson hairdryer, and a large, very quiet fan. The owners were fantastic. We arrived two hours before the room was ready, and they offered us coffee, water and something to eat. They encouraged us to make ourselves at home, and it was easy to do.

We found this place and it was a wonderful discovery. Its typical Malagasy decor made us feel as if we’d travelled to another continent. The room was clean and practical, and guests can use the patio. The hosts were very helpful. I’d definitely recommend it.
