La Tour Intendance

The staff were a big help, even mailing back the clothes we left in the room as soon as we were gone. We spent a long weekend here and really liked the spot, on a quiet side street but still in the middle of the main area. The rooms aren't huge, but ours had enough space and was well equipped. The bed was really comfortable.

Our stay was very pleasant and convenient, with easy access to the main attractions and transport. The staff were warm, attentive, and helpful throughout, and the service was excellent. The rooms were clean and well maintained, which made our stay comfortable.

The room had a rustic look, but it was clean and fairly quiet. We had a balcony, and sitting out there to enjoy the view was wonderful. I think there's only one room with a balcony, though I'm not sure. The shower had strong pressure and plenty of hot water. Maybe we got lucky, but I had a lovely time, especially thanks to the staff. The older man was especially welcoming, and the younger woman was just as lovely.

The rooms are small, as advised, and the en-suite shower and toilet are especially tight. The shower head won't stay hung up, so showering one-handed is awkward, and water sprays out; ventilation is there, but an extra fan could help. Still, the hotel is good value, and guests can use the elevator. I liked its old-fashioned atmosphere and the location, within walking distance of the Aerport tram and Bordeaux's main attractions, with plenty of cafes and bars nearby. The bed was very clean and comfortable, the water hot and strong, and opening the window onto the laneway brings in a cooling breeze.
