Les pénates bordelaises - Maison d'hôtes - Guesthouse

We had a lovely time here. On a rainy evening, it was nice to watch Netflix, and the coffee from the machine tasted good too. There’s a cute rabbit :) Getting to both the city centre and the airport is easy. Thanks, we’d stay again and can recommend it!

Our visit was much too short, which was the only thing we regretted. Maria Louisa was a wonderful host, and we loved the big room, with its lovely shower and comfortable sitting area. The shared living space was great too, with a kitchen, tables, comfy chairs and a couch. It’s an easy walk to the river and city center, with good food options nearby. The hosts have also put together a remarkable collection of materials to help guide visitors around Bourdeaux.

The area is quiet, with everything you need just a 2-3 minute walk away, and it takes about 25-30 minutes to walk into central Bordeaux. The rooms are fantastic, with quality furnishings and linens, a comfortable bed, and heavy curtains that made for a great night's sleep. The kitchen is well equipped, and the pool area is a lovely place to unwind. I'd highly recommend staying here in Bordeaux.

The location isn't right in central Bordeaux, but it's still a nice spot. We loved how thoughtfully decorated the room was, and the pool is very cute. Ask for a room with a pool view, they even heat the pool at night. The hosts were so friendly and kind, and the atmosphere was lovely. Breakfast was local and delicious, though I wish there'd been more savory choices, like charcuterie or eggs. I really recommend les penates bordelaises, and we'd definitely come back.
