After a 30 hour trip, I had to wait outside for five hours before I could get my key. There’d been no communication before check-in, and only afterward did I learn I could have left my bags and relaxed in the upstairs communal space the whole time. The location is handy for the train station and tram, but the area feels characterless, like a sterile modern building site. Mosquitoes filled the rooms, and I was bitten all night. There’s no air conditioning, so keeping the windows closed was the only way to keep them out.

I was here for my international PhD stay and would definitely recommend the residence. The price is good, the facilities are good, and the director always does her best 👍🏻👍🏻

The location is great, right by the bus and tram, and one stop from the station. Staff were very friendly, and the room and bathroom were spacious and clean. For a couple of days as a stopover, it was fine. The shared kitchen and terrace area are lovely, and it was nice having a terrace of our own, though it’s basic. Beyond it is a sort of neglected no man’s land. I’d rate it at least a 4, except for several problems: no soap, no kettle, and we had to ask for a second mug. The wardrobe’s sliding door was off its track and wouldn’t open. Worst of all, there was no warning about the flies and mosquitoes that attacked us both nights. There was no fan, so we had to leave the window open.

I hope people are careful in this apartment. Don’t leave the door unlocked, and don’t trust the managers’ character. I don’t want anyone else to be taken advantage of like this. I lived here for eight months, and things were mostly normal apart from the awkward location near construction, which made for a very noisy and cluttered environment. But I didn’t expect there to be thieves. Last August, I asked to leave my luggage in the apartment’s warehouse, and the manager agreed. When I checked on it 20 days later, all my bags had been cut open. My jewelry, perfume, Gucci shoes, and even lipsticks were gone. When I asked staff, she said another manager had done it to check whether the items inside belonged to cleaning. When I asked about the missing things, the manager said she knew nothing and had nothing to hide. I was new to the country and in the middle of moving and starting a new semester, so I didn’t know how to contact the police. My family advised me to focus on my studies and not push myself if calling the police felt too exhausting. I’ve put this off until now, after finishing my studies. The total value of what I lost is more than 3000 euros. Forgive my late comment.
