We weren't expecting this B&B to be in a built-up area, but once inside it felt like a little paradise. It's also a handy base for getting into the city and visiting the surrounding area, and we hope to return in a year or two. We loved our quirky, pretty room. It was perfectly clean and had a small terrace looking out over the pool. The place has the rustic, original, tasteful but down-to-earth feel we like. Virginie and her husband made us feel so welcome, and Virginie cooked a perfect breakfast. We stayed one night last Thursday in June. Bordeaux is a cool city, by the way.

The rooms had a lovely, quirky feel, and the service was exceptional. They suggested an excellent restaurant for dinner. My one small gripe was that the rooms got quite warm and didn't have air conditioning.

The garden was peaceful and we got a friendly welcome, but the room and linens weren't very clean. Breakfast could have been fresher too. For what it offers, it felt a bit expensive.
