Résidence Cala Bianca

We liked the quiet and the layout of the villas. They were clean and well equipped, with a fridge, cooktop, and dishwasher. The location is great, right by the beach and close to a supermarket. It’s an inexpensive resort with minimal service. The beds weren’t very comfortable, and some appliances could be noisy.

The beach was the highlight for us. It’s great and hardly crowded, since there’s no public parking. The pool was great too, the air conditioning worked, as did the fridge and freezer, and there’s plenty of parking for residents. It was peaceful, and we had quiet neighbours. Our bungalow’s kitchen wasn’t clean when we arrived, and some wood was peeling from the cupboard and door frames. Maybe other bungalows were fine and we were just unlucky, since cleanliness seems to depend on who stayed before. The cleaning staff came back to redo the kitchen and patio after I asked. I scrubbed the rest myself. By the end of our two weeks, we left the bungalow sparkling clean. The staff were friendly, except when I raised the cleanliness issue. Bring cleaning supplies, laundry soap, bug spray, and extra towels. The laundry machines work, but you only get one set of towels and sheets every seven days unless you pay extra. Bring a sun umbrella for the patio and beach too, since there are no trees on the beach. I’d stay again, but I’d come prepared. If you’re looking for a great, peaceful beach, go for it.

Our family loved staying here and could happily have stayed longer. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the price was great for what you get. It’s only a few steps from the beach. This is set up as a long-stay vacation residence, though you can rent for a few days too. It has the basics: shampoo, hand soap, towels, fridge, microwave, dishes, dishwasher, cutlery, stove, and coffee machine. You’ll need to buy everyday things like toilet paper, detergent, coffee, and your own food. You cook and do your own housekeeping, just like at home. The only reason I gave four stars is the fridge makes noise at night. We unplugged it and plugged it back in the morning, which solved it. We had an ant invasion, and although we were told someone would look into it, nothing had been done two days later. We were even told ants were “clean” anyway. Absolutely disgraceful, and I wouldn’t recommend this place at all. It’s expensive to begin with, and every basic commodity costs extra. The room was poorly designed and arranged, with double bunks right as you enter.
