The rooms are simple, but everything works well, and the beds are comfortable. It’s quiet in the house, so I fell asleep quickly and got a restful night. This is a lovely place to stay, whether for one night or longer, especially if you’re active in the area. The hosts serve simple, local food that’s really tasty, and there’s time to enjoy a drink and the surrounding views, stillness, and nature before dinner. You could even come just for dinner and an evening of stargazing with your guide and his telescope. Getting there by car can be tricky because of the sandy road. Rain or snow would make it harder, and even in ideal weather a stone could cause an annoying puncture. The place seems best suited to sporty visitors arriving after a day of walking or riding.

We came in August and were amazed by how much this place exceeded what we and our twins expected. The accommodation is incredible, and the rooftop observatory is magnificent. Pierre explained the observatory session so well, and we met some lovely people, including French parents with their two sons. We hope they recognize themselves. There was lots of laughter, and our welcoming, attentive hosts served us an excellent meal to share. Breakfast the next day was fantastic too. The highlight for our 9-year-old twins was a moving two-hour astronomy workshop led by Sophie. Thank you both for giving us access and for your kindness. It was amazing.
