Le Boudes la vigne

That little restaurant, Boudes la Vigne, has about ten tables and some beautifully prepared gourmet food. We had a remarkable meal. The desserts were a highlight: the citrus verbena savarin was fresh and light, and the iced nougat paired the sweet and tart coulis with a crisp biscuit really cleverly. There was even apple mousse alongside a chocolate shell filled with mango jelly at the end. Earlier, we enjoyed a very balanced foie gras with homemade brioche, aromatic cold melon soup, and a refreshing watermelon jelly with a lentil and bacon wrap. The catfish fillet was cooked just right, and the pork tenderloin came with a rich jus and bacon mash. All the dishes, from the appetizers through to the end, were delicious, carefully made, and often original.

We were out on a group motorcycle ride when we stopped for a break in Boudes and came across "Le Boudes La Vigne". The welcome was really warm, the staff were excellent, and the owner was fantastic as well. We had a wonderful time. Thanks for such a great experience, and see you soon.

Chef Christian Coutarel's dishes had us imagining what it might be like to inspect for the Michelin Guide. Each one was a delight, with exceptional flavors and a delicate harmony that felt like a little pause for the art of cooking. I even pictured a chef wearing a star in his toque, with a Bib Gourmand brilliantly put together. It was a delightful surprise and a real reward to find this at Boudes la Vigne, bringing these wonderful flavors to the Valley of the Saints. Thank you so much, Chef, for the warm welcome, the smiles, and the service that accompanied each description of the dishes. I also loved that brief moment of sharing with you. You're an extraordinary chef, so kind and considerate.

The service was top-notch, and our young waiter was very professional. He has a bright future ahead of him. We also got to meet the chef and chat with him, which we love doing after such a wonderful meal. We had lunch on Saturday and enjoyed every bit of it. The cuisine was sophisticated, with balanced flavors and high quality ingredients. Every detail felt carefully considered, and the thoughtful touches in each recipe showed real passion for the craft. It was exquisite from beginning to end, absolutely fantastic. Congratulations to the whole team, we'll definitely be back.
