The hammocks facing the mountains were a lovely extra, and the hosts’ local tips helped us make the most of the area. They were attentive throughout and checked that we had everything we needed. The cottage sits quietly up in the hills, away from tourist crowds, though shops, restaurants, and beaches are an easy drive away. Inside, it’s spacious, with a nice terrace and a fully equipped kitchen. A calm, family-friendly place. Hard to beat.

Malendure beach is only a few minutes away on foot, and the road across it is just a few minutes’ drive away. The place itself is beautiful, and this radiant couple has it ideally situated in the heart of Basse-Terre.
