We never got to stay in the actual gites. The owner said a glitch with exp**ia led to an overbooking, so he put us in a ground-floor room at a friend's house instead. He's incredibly nice, and I hope he's being honest about what happened, but the place wasn't where we wanted to be, so we left after two nights. If we'd been in the gites themselves, I think it could have been a good experience. The property was much nicer than our room, and he did let us use it. The breakfast buffet was nice. Still, the whole situation was incredibly disappointing and has left me doubting whether I'll book with exp**ia again.

I spent several months staying with Hugues, and I'm very grateful for his kindness and willingness to help. The accommodations were clean and well equipped, and there are washing machines available. The cottages are easy to reach, about a ten-minute walk from Malendure beach. From the property you can see the sea and the surrounding forest. It would work well for a family holiday or a business trip.

We loved our week in the Ixora bungalow in Basse-Terre. It was spacious, comfortable, and welcoming, with a well-equipped kitchen and a very comfortable bed. There was private parking, plus a swimming pool and loungers for relaxing, and Malendure beach was close by. The setting and scenery were beautiful. Thanks so much, Mr. Hugues!

The sea view was superb, and the rental was spotless. Hugues was very kind to us. We had an excellent stay and would highly recommend it.

The kids loved having the swimming pool right across the street. My wife, our three children, and I stayed for 10 days in July 2025 in an apartment with a balcony and a stunning view. It was comfortable and very well equipped. Hugues was incredibly welcoming.
