Hôtel La Bastide De Boulbon

We came for six nights and hated having to leave. It's a peaceful place to unwind, so bring a book, though everything Provence has to offer is still within easy reach. The food at breakfast and dinner was very good, and the personal service came from people who clearly cared about their work. There's real attention to detail throughout, including some thoughtful touches. The handsome period building sits in lovely grounds on a quiet side street in a picturesque Provençal village that doesn't feel touristy. One of the best small hotels we've stayed in anywhere, and we'll be back.

Dinner on the terrace is a lovely, leisurely affair, with beautiful dishes from the chef in residence. We also found the rooms thoughtfully decorated, with comfortable beds, great showers, and welcome air-conditioning in summer. The gardens and swimming pool are beautiful, and the hotel feels exclusive. Sylvie and her team made us feel at home during a wonderful stay at La Bastide de Boulbon. We were sorry to leave and hope to return soon.

We used La Bastide de Boulbon as our base for exploring Luberon villages and nearby Arles, though there were more sights within driving distance than we could fit in. The place lives up to the photos and made our Provence dreams come true. Its simple elegance was a relaxing break from the stress of traveling. The food was delicious, the rooms very comfortable, and I'd love to come back. Highly recommended.

We had a very good three-night stay and especially enjoyed the chef's cooking, along with the gardens and pool. The local area was a pleasure to explore, and the hotel is well placed for seeing more of it. The owners and staff pay attention to the details, making the experience live up to the hotel's setting and facilities. Highly recommended.
