OPAL'APPART

The apartment itself is really nice, but there are a few things that need attention. The bed is a noisy sofa, and the fitted sheet was too big, so I had to get up twice to sort it out. The kitchen window opens onto a courtyard full of dog mess and air conditioning units, not a pretty view, so I’d leave it closed. It’s also a very noisy neighborhood. I woke up several times because of the street noise, the stairs and inconsiderate neighbors. And at 8 a.m., they were cleaning the street with machines! The window insulation and bed linen could use improvement. Still, the apartment is very nice.

The musty smell lingered even with the windows open, and the apartment was noisy because of its central location. Still, we had a good weekend. It was very clean, the welcome was good, and we could walk everywhere from the ideal location.

The apartment was clean and functional, but the noise made this stay unbearable. At 2:20 a.m., the bars were closed and people were still partying outside. The street is busy, and scooters keep roaring past. I grew up in Paris with single-pane windows, but even I couldn’t tolerate this. Somehow our baby was the only one who could sleep through it. We nearly had to break a shoulder to open the building door, too. I won’t return, and I can’t recommend it.

Restaurants and shops are right downstairs, so the location is great for a pleasant stay. The apartment was clean and nicely decorated. The only downsides were the nighttime noise and no parking.
