Studilodge - Central Fac

We had a terrible experience. On the weekend the check-in was self-service, but the keys wouldn't open the doors. Nobody answered our calls or emails to help us find a solution.

Getting my deposit back was difficult, maybe impossible, and the service was far from adequate. The staff seemed incompetent. This was a disappointing stay, and even one star feels generous.

I was a student renting a studio apartment at Studilodge Bourg-en-Bresse for three months. Yesterday I got my final bill, with extra charges, even though I left the studio spotless and had no issues to report. I'm only getting half my deposit back. They charged me for replacing a lightbulb, although one was already faulty when I arrived and the replacement didn't work either. They also charged for garbage disposal and an extra day, even though I moved out on March 31st. I'd avoid this residence. The neighborhood is a bit dodgy, and I didn't feel safe even inside the building. My neighbor had his computer stolen too.

The location worked well for me, near the city center, schools, and shops. I lived here from September 1, 2022, to June 19, 2023, and did a one-month internship at the residence too. It was a fantastic year, and I’d recommend it to future tenants, as well as people looking for an internship in real estate, management, or administration. The manager and cleaning staff were kind, attentive, and quick to help with requests, whether for monthly cleaning or apartment issues. The place was clean throughout. It has video surveillance, a laundry room where you can pay by card, and the machines cost much less than laundromats downtown. Vacuum cleaners and ironing boards with irons are included in the rent. The gym and common room, called the “breakfast room,” are set to be renovated with new exercise equipment, a TV with a live fitness coach, and new kitchen furniture. Thanks for everything, and see you soon.
