I booked this place in September, seven months before the Printemps de Bourges festival, before the lineup was announced, so the early price was good. The hosts, JM & Emilie, apparently hadn’t set what they called the “usual exorbitant price” for the festival. This week they asked Airbnb to cancel my booking over a “technical issue,” which I took to mean they hadn’t made enough money. Now I’m left without somewhere to stay, with prices having shot up and all the decent places booked. This was a terrible experience, nothing like what I expect from Airbnb. I strongly advise against booking with these hosts if you don’t want the same trouble with accommodation market “speculators.”

The location is superb, right by the cathedral, with parking nearby. The place was very clean and the owners gave excellent service. Highly recommended.
