The Originals Access, Hôtel Bourges Gare

We enjoyed our stay. The location is very central, the staff are friendly, and both the room and bathroom were very clean. Everything was tiny, including the beds, though the beds were comfortable. The restaurant downstairs served good food at a reasonable price, making it a handy stop with kids for a night or two while travelling. One serious check-in issue: we were given a key to a room that already had another family in it. We walked in on them, and that shouldn't happen. Front desk staff need to check rooms before assigning them.

A very good room, close to the gare of bourges.

Everything was clean and acceptable, and breakfast tasted good, though you can find better value elsewhere. There isn't a toilet on the dining floor. You have to go up one floor, and there's only a toilet there, no sink. If you want to wash your hands after breakfast, hold on to your key card until you're done.

The bar downstairs was lively, and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Our simple room was clean, and the air conditioning was welcome during le canicule. The station is right across the street, with the medieval centre, the Palace of Jacques Coeur, and the marvellous cathedral an easy walk away.
