The jacuzzi and terrace were handy for cooling off, and the quiet was a real plus. Just keep in mind that the cottage is quite isolated, so you'll need a car to shop. Also, watch out for the dogs in the small cottage. Upstairs it can get very hot in summer, as you'd expect in an attic, and the fans provided weren't enough. The cottage is attached to the owners' house. Downstairs there's a living room with an open kitchen, plus a toilet. Upstairs, a landing with a skylight has two 90 cm single beds, with a bedroom at each end. Each bedroom has two 140 cm double beds, one has a skylight and the other a low window. There's also a large bathroom with a skylight, a washing machine, and a shower with jets. The shower is showing its age, and the water can get very hot, so be especially careful with children. There are two toilets, one on each floor. The owners are considering replacing the shower. The facilities and equipment are generally getting old. Cleaning and upkeep are left to the occupants, which can cause some problems. Routine cleaning makes sense, but deep cleaning is another matter :-( The mini vacuum is very noisy and barely works, and it even sucks up the upstairs linoleum. Check the kitchen utensils before using them too, since the glasses, plates, and cutlery were quite greasy and mismatched.

The house was spacious and lovely, and the setting was quiet and pleasant. We got a very warm welcome, and they were attentive and available.

A nice little cottage, though it feels a bit old.
