Manoir du Mesnil de Bas

We were warmly welcomed to this peaceful place. The manor has been beautifully updated with good taste, and the surroundings are lovely. Breakfast was freshly made and excellent.

The grounds are spacious, beautifully kept, and perfect for walks, with superb surroundings all around. You can walk into Bréhal for bread or go to the Tuesday morning market. There’s also a tennis court, and the beach and sailing school are only a few minutes away by car, so there’s plenty to choose from whether you want an active break or a quiet one. The cottage is comfortable and very well equipped, with everything to make you feel at home. The place has immense charm, and Mrs. de Maneville and Mrs. Sommer gave us an extremely warm welcome. We sincerely thank Aude de Maneville and Marjolaine Sommer for such a wonderful stay. We’d be delighted to come back.

A lovely stay. Mrs. Sommer gave us a warm welcome, and the rooms are spacious. The manor house has been renovated beautifully while keeping its original character. Breakfast by the fireplace included freshly squeezed orange juice, pastries, specialty breads, jam, fruit, and dairy products. It’s a charming, high-quality bed and breakfast, suitable for couples, families, or groups of friends. There are several guest rooms in the manor, as well as a separate cottage.

The views across the Normandy countryside are breathtaking, and the setting feels idyllic, away from the city but still close to the beaches. It’s a magnificent castle, tastefully and elegantly maintained, and a perfect place to recharge on your own, with friends, or with family.
