Camping de La Bourgnatelle

The shared facilities were a mess: only one toilet and one shower were unlocked in the whole block, and once it got dark there were no lights. People were feeling their way around, and some had to use camping lights. I got into the pool before noticing how bad it was. The walls were slimy and green with algae, and a pigeon was swimming and drinking while I was in there. When I went to climb out, I discovered the ladder was broken. I’d lowered myself in at the other side and hadn’t seen that. The pool shouldn’t have been open, it was dirty and dangerous. I felt sick during the night. I only stopped because I happened to be passing at the right, or wrong, moment. I wish I’d read the reviews first and kept going to Hutopia in Beaulieu. This place was pretty disgusting. I’d have asked for a refund if reception had been open.
