Enzo Hotel Brétigny

I barely heard a group of tourists next door, even though I only found out the next morning that they’d been there. The bedrooms are completely soundproof. There’s Cafe Richard coffee in the room, and breakfast was the icing on the cake, with freshly squeezed orange juice and freshly baked pastries, though they were frozen beforehand. It felt like the breakfast at a four-star hotel. A very high standard place.

Pretty cool.

The pricing left me with a bad feeling, and I won’t be coming back. We were quoted one amount by phone, then charged more at the end of our 15-day stay. They said the software calculates the rate automatically, and depending on who you speak to, the price can vary quite a lot. The air conditioning still wasn’t working in the rooms during our stay. A busload of Chinese tourists was also very noisy at 5:00 AM. The rooms are small but perfectly usable, and breakfast is generous. I had to ask three times over three days before the shower problem was fixed. Morning staff seemed a bit grumpy, unlike the very friendly evening staff.

I was cold all night because the heating and insulation were so poor. There’s no air conditioning either, so I’d avoid staying here in summer as well as winter.
