Au Vieux Logis

Really tasty.

We’d happily come back to this cozy little place. It’s right by the Orient lakes, the owners made us feel very welcome, and the value for money is hard to beat. Thanks again to them for being so kind.

The rooms are quiet and comfortable, so it’s easy to get a good night’s sleep. It seems especially suited to people who enjoy being close to nature and don’t mind a more simple way of life. There’s a lovely old-fashioned feel to the inn, and the owner is very friendly and welcoming. He’s also a great cook. The food is carefully prepared without any fuss, and looks as good as it tastes. The wines are well chosen, good quality, and fairly priced.

I loved the dining room’s timeless feel. The milk jug and salad spinner reminded me of the ones my grandmother had when I was little. Pascal cooks with fresh, fragrant ingredients, and everything was a treat for my taste buds. The owners were so friendly, offered us dessert, and we had a lovely chat. In summer you can eat out on the terrace, and if you’re an animal lover, some very affectionate cats might come by.
