The views over the Bozel Valley are stunning, with Col de la Grande Casse taking over the skyline. There’s plenty of free parking, and it’s easy to get to Brides’ main street. The Golf is spotless, and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful. Nothing seemed like too much trouble. Breakfast has a good range, enough to set you up for the day. We’ll be back and will tell our friends about it. I’ve been to Brides before, but this was my first stay at The Golf. Wish I’d tried it sooner.

Breakfast is simple but so tasty, and the rooms are clean with well-equipped bathrooms and good toiletries. The hotel is in a great spot, and there’s lots of parking. I’m still not sure why reception isn’t open around the clock. It runs from 8 AM until 10:30 PM, if I remember right 😂, so plan to get there before closing.

Good views and free parking. It’s a short three-minute walk to the lift for Maribel, and the nice places are about five minutes away, though the bar shuts early. The hotel is okay overall, but the spa and WiFi are really bad. Rooms feel small if you’ve got two bags.

We spent 19 nights at The Golf Hotel in October 2023. The room was very good, and the people who looked after it did a great job. At check-in, the receptionist was kind, considerate and courteous. The restaurant staff were just as pleasant. The food itself let the stay down. There wasn’t much choice, and dishes often arrived cold or only lukewarm. Most of what the chef prepared was poor and tasteless. The so-called free WiFi was useless too. The stay was okay, but those meals and the WiFi spoiled it for us. Alan & Catherine
