B&B HOTEL Brignoles

It was a smooth, easy stay, and the room was large and perfectly clean. The place stayed very quiet even over the weekend, the staff were polite and friendly, and there was plenty of parking right outside. Getting in at any time with the access codes was simple. The location is walkable to town and some shops, though it isn’t a particularly pretty area. We also had trouble finding a bakery or cafe open before 10 on Sunday morning. We skipped breakfast, which cost €9.50 per person for the buffet, because there seemed to be very little choice, just a few croissants and basic jams. The room advertisements showed a much fuller spread, including eggs, so we expected some savoury options too.

This was completely unacceptable. The washroom sink was totally blocked, and there was no real cleanliness. The advertised free breakfast never happened. WiFi made us log in again every 15 minutes, like it was 2005. We booked four rooms but were given only three at check-in, and the so-called family rooms were incredibly cramped. I could say more, but it’s not worth any more of my time.

We got a good night’s sleep and an efficient stop, which was exactly what we needed on our drive from Italy to Spain. The room was basic and somewhat rundown, and the price reflected that. Online check-in beforehand meant codes instead of keys and no tedious arrival process, and the hotel was very close to our route on the motorway.

We needed somewhere at short notice and were pleasantly surprised by how lovely the hotel was. There’s a supermarket and a few restaurants within walking distance. The staff were excellent, friendly, and proactive. Both the room and public areas were very clean, and our room was spacious and spotless. The high, roomy bed and lovely towels were better than what we’ve had at some more upmarket hotels. Breakfast was lovely too, and the breakfast room was immaculate; they gave the hot drinks machine a thorough clean after service. Honestly, it’s the best deal we’ve had lately, and I’d definitely recommend it.
