There was no air conditioning, the pool wasn’t available even in peak season, and we couldn’t open the front door ourselves, so we had to coordinate our time slots. The mosquitoes were much more than I’d expected. I rebooked after one night, but then had to wait months to get my money back, which I eventually managed to recover through Booking.com. P.S. The photos are definitely not recent, though they are authentic.

We visited in 2011, and I still remember that happy time so clearly. Clos du Pavillon is a real marvel, a peaceful place full of charm, tucked behind a hedge of three-hundred-year-old plane trees. The vineyards on the slopes before the entrance are beautiful. Miss Lady welcomed us with exceptional kindness, and upstairs, a lovely wooden staircase led to cozy, comfortable bedrooms decorated with great taste. Outside, two magnificent old linden trees and, farther on, a beautiful Louis XVI-era basin bordered by more three-hundred-year-old plane trees made the setting feel like something preserved for posterity. The whole place gave us a sense of well-being. We were delighted by the family cats and dog, too. Thank you, Miss Lady. We hope to see you again and will be back.
