That quiet country setting made an evening walk really nice, and there’s a small grocery and a pizza place/bar just down the street. I also found plenty of street parking outside the house. I booked at the last minute while driving around Europe, and this place may have saved me from spending the night in my car. The room was comfortable, breakfast was delicious, and the host was great. Everything, from the room to breakfast, was decorated with real style and attention to detail. The host spoke great English, so getting by was easy. I’d recommend it and would happily stay again.

We sat out on the patio for breakfast since the weather was pleasant, though there was also room to eat inside. Laurie put together a lovely spread with muesli, juice, soft cheese, meat, fresh bread, croissants, and really good coffee. We were warmly welcomed by Laurie and her husband after arriving in Le Clos Darwin for a night on our trip from Stuttgart toward Blois. The room was spotless, with modern, eclectic decor and a private bathroom with a large shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. You can tell a lot of work and care has gone into getting their home ready for guests. It was a wonderful stay, and well worth the visit. Thank you for welcoming us to your B&B.

Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh croissants, yogurt, homemade mini muffins, and really good coffee. Lovely place, and the host was lovely too. The bed was comfy.

The peaceful surroundings and lovely landscape were a real treat at this beautiful B&B, about 25 minutes from Nancy. Breakfast was another plus, with local products.
