The owners were friendly, and the hamlet was peaceful. There are larger villages nearby with shops, restaurants, and other things. Breakfast was very generous, too. We did feel a bit awkward about coming and going, since the owners had to stay up or be available to let us in and out. They don’t give guests a main key.

The room was lovely and warm, and the shower was a treat. Check-in was easy, and breakfast was delicious and filling, with freshly baked croissants to take with us. It’s only a short drive from Charles De Gaulle Aeroport, which made for a lovely start to our time in France. We’ll definitely come back.

The bed was comfortable, and the place was close to the wedding venue my friends were using. That was about all that went well. I asked whether I could arrive early and wait in the garden, and the owner literally insulted me. I was deeply shocked. I came back at the time we’d originally arranged, thinking it was over, but he was extremely aggressive again. The cheap orange juice and muddy water that was meant to be coffee at breakfast just added to the awful welcome. I think this gentleman should consider a career change, since hosting guests seems to be a challenge for him.

We paid 95 euros, and the only things we liked were the bedding and decor. The so-called bathroom was in the bedroom with no partition, and the toilet was in a kind of laundry room that was just as dirty. There were cobwebs everywhere, and the bed linens and towels smelled bad. Breakfast arrived at 9 am outside our bedroom door, out in the heavy humidity and fog. We asked to eat inside, but the host wasn’t happy about it. All we got was yogurt and orange juice from the local supermarket, the bare minimum. When we left, the host told us to leave the key in the door. That was that. I think this person is too old for this job and doesn’t enjoy it, just the money it brings in. Sorry for the long message, but my husband and I stay at B&Bs often, and we’d say to avoid this one at all costs.
