The dinner by the fireplace was the highlight for us: three lovely courses, great wines, and a very reasonable price. Our room was beautiful too, with a stunning view in the morning, so do get up with the sun if you can. We only stayed a short while at this lovely chateau hotel, but the trip was absolutely worth it.

The place has amazing potential, and the owners were absolutely lovely. Still, dinner was a real letdown. With no chef, we were given an assorted plate that wouldn’t have properly fed a child, then charged a ridiculous amount for it. The coffee during the day was horrible, there was no staff around, and breakfast was very sparse. Disappointing all round.

The setting was beautiful and wonderfully calm, and we got a warm welcome with lovely attention to detail. Breakfast was great, and dinner was excellent, especially if you’re a meat lover.

The location is beautiful, and the proprietor was charming. We had a lovely meal, and they did well despite the difficulties they’re currently dealing with. We’ll go back.
