Chateau de Burnand

The views over the rolling hills are wonderful, and there are hiking trails right from the property. Nearby roads are quiet enough for walking or running, and there's a charming 12th? century church at the foot of the property. A nearby town has groceries and a weekly market, while Cluny, Beaune, and Burgundy vineyards are all less than an hour away. We were very pleased with the extra services we booked: Chef Agnes, Chef Thomas, Christian's jazz trio, and Christophe's wine tasting. The group also loved the practical touches inside, including ensuite bathrooms in each bedroom and kitchen and dining tables big enough for everyone. The fabulous pool was a bonus, and luckily the mid-September weather cooperated. Chateau de Burnand made for a memorable gathering in the middle of the world's most renowned wine country. Christophe and his team brought a centuries-old chateau up to modern standards while keeping its historic charm. We've taken similar trips in France before, and this place is a great mix of character, modern convenience, and professional management.

We hired Chef Agnes for four of our nights, and the food was delicious. The rooms are all uniquely beautiful, and the whole area is gorgeous. Christophe and his family were great to work with, with impeccable communication. My entire family loved our week and didn't want to leave. Absolutely wonderful experience, highly recommend staying here. Book this trip of a lifetime!

The family takes such good care of everything and makes sure it's just right. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bath, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the grounds are exquisite. The pool was refreshing, and the nearby neighborhood is charming and easy to walk around. This completely restored, one of a kind Chateau is absolutely fabulous to experience. We'll certainly return!
