We came just for a meal, and the place felt like the old French restaurants you imagine, the kind that hardly seem to exist anymore. The interior looks untouched since the 1920s. A lovely couple runs it, serving old-fashioned dishes like guinea fowl alongside things like burgers.

The food is a big reason we came back to this quaint, old-fashioned hotel when we visited the area again. They use fresh produce from their farm, and their own-hive honey is especially worth trying. The couple who run the hotel and restaurant are delightful and welcoming. The place has plenty of old-world character, with modern touches such as the bathroom. We’d stayed here before and were glad to return.

The French atmosphere and local feel made this a perfect stopover, and the husband-and-wife hosts, along with their baby, made us feel very welcome. It’s a beautifully restored 17th-century building, with great rooms and wonderful food. This is a terrific place to stay. If you’re anywhere near Buzancy, stay here. I can’t recommend it highly enough, and you won’t be disappointed.

The owners were especially thoughtful and helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay. It’s an older hotel with plenty of charm. Our room was clean and nicely appointed, and the bathroom was modern and bright. Breakfast was fresh, with locally produced items.

Such a gem of a restaurant, with a real old-school feel. I could happily eat here all week. Honestly, I might!
